I have nothing but good thing's to say about our recent stay at Seadog and Stone.
Prior to our holiday the communication with the owner was second to none, any questions where met with immediate responses.
We stayed as a family of 10 making use of all 5 bedrooms.
The house was very clean upon arrival, the children clearly excited by the space and the facilities on offer and the adults equally impressed particularly by the welcome pack!
Once unpacked it was time for the pool. Both kids and adults took full advantage of this during the week and we could not have been more impressed with the pool and the various inflatables/toys on offer.
The pool towels provided along with the robes in the bedroom are just another lovely touch that makes this place exceptional.
We made full use of the BBQ and the Pizza Oven and would highly recommend making use of both. Not only did we enjoy pizzas but we had Baked Potatoes, some creamy one pan creations and even tried marshmallows with chocolate biscuits.
In the main kitchen there is not one utensil you could need that was not supplied. Particular mention to the coffee machine which produced lovely lattes on a daily basis!.
Lots of storage space for your groceries and two fridges was more than adequate.
However, just incase you needed more fridge space there are a further two fridges in the Garden Kitchen. Again, lots of utensils for the bbq plastic plates and glasses, ideal for the garden.
There is an enclosed tennis court where you can play a number of sports which again is a massive plus when you are looking at the facilities on offer.
The snug was an ideal place if you wanted some downtime and a chance to recharge and was an ideal place for my 15 year old daughter to relax at the end of each day.
I can honestly say i have never slept better in any bed while away on holiday - anywhere! The beds were just so comfy and all of our party agreed on this.
I could probably go on and on and on but honestly I have nothing negative to say.
If you are considering this as a place for your stay then I promise you will not be disappointed by this property.

WOW!!!!

We can only echo previous reviews... The house was incredible, laden with an abundance of high spec equipment. The garden, pool and totally private location were also beyond expectation and all enhanced by perfect weather! Access to stunning beaches and local towns was just a 5 - 10 minute drive. Thanks for a fantastic family holiday!

A wonderful place for a peaceful family get together!

The house is in a beautiful spot in the peaceful countryside but within 15 minutes of a supermarket! It is beautifully appointed with high quality furniture and furnishings. The swimming pool was a huge success, especially during the gales when outdoor activities were impossible! We enjoyed a few games of tennis but unfortunately, the weather was too windy for the other games available.

The approach through the lanes in farmland close to Chwilog sets the scene for the calm of Ysgobur Degwm. A classic stone barn in large open well maintained gardens, with tennis court and indoor heated swimming pool!, Entrance is through glazed front doors into a huge and comfortable lounge and dining room with a high vaulted ceiling all kept cosy by a large log burner. This is a relaxing area already! There are 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms which are all well finished and comfortable, and there is also a 'snug' with separate TV and plenty of games and books which is a bit of an oasis! The kitchen includes a proper coffee machine! I'm sold! Outside, the large patio has outdoor settees and a dining area, which overlooks the large level lawn and flower beds. There is a built in stone 'firepit' (that can double as a pizza oven) and a gas barbecue, as well as access to a second kitchen with beer fridge! All in all probably the most well equipped and complete place I've ever stayed in - absolutely superb. Quality finishes, real comfort and relaxing location, with easy access to most outdoor activities eg beaches/Snowdonia. Plenty of variety in the local shops, not least the superb local produce including craft beer! Already sorting our next visit for autumn!

We all fell in love with this fantastic property! The kids loved the pool, and we loved the beds. Vicky was even kind enough to share where she had purchased the mattresses! We can't recommend Vicky and "the barn" enough - a stress-free unforgettable holiday... we didn't miss the stress of flying, and we had a really amazing time. We will be back.

As you would have gathered from my wife's card we were absolutely blown away by the accommodation. Whilst it is obviously a beautiful and well equipped house the thing that struck us was a real sense of generosity. Everything was catered for, there was plenty of everything we needed (not the usual 6 of this and 6 of that, with everything counted in and out) and the gift basket was a lovely touch. I can say without hesitation it is the best self catering accommodation we have rented in the UK, and we have done more than a few over the years.

We had a lovely stay here in this excellent spacious house. It is fantastically equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. It’s located in a beautiful rural location but with good access to beaches and towns. The swimming pool was lovely and we used the outdoor facilities (pizza oven and BBQ) many times during the week. We’ll definitely be booking here again.

A private paradise. We were overwhelmed with comfort when arriving to the house (actually very easy to find). The house is a perfect mixture of luxury and ease. You feel like you can use the home, the pool and tennis court provided houses of fun which felt truly unique. Great facilities for large dining we loved the outdoor area. Everything is available at the house, the privacy is brilliant however you are only a short drive from anything. Had a fabulous time here able to throw ourselves into a relaxing vibe immediately, sad to leave. All information given by the house is very clear and helpful. Superb holiday. Will definitely be rebooking.

The perfect secluded getaway

We stayed as a family of five (2 adults, 2 young kids, and a dog) and loved every moment. The house is exceptional, it is a distance away from others - you find yourselves isolated (in the best meaning of the term), in a very quiet area and with an abundance of space to enjoy yourselves. The house is very well kept, extremely tidy and clean. It is stocked full of games, kids toys, fascinating books and films. The decoration makes you say “ok, I’m stealing this idea when I get home”.

 

The swimming pool is fantastic. It would be hard to find something negative. As for the area - do try out the recommended fish+chips shop. You will love it. Everything we wanted to see was within a suitable drive for kids, and plenty of beaches were nearby too. The owner/host is very friendly, always accommodating, and extremely helpful in making the stay the best it can be.

What a find! We hired this beautiful house to celebrate an 80th, a 60th, a 30th and a 3rd Birthday. We all had a wonderful time. The swimming pool is perfect for the little one and it was lovely to be able to swim more than once a day. The house is very comfortable. Very nice to have white sheets and towels. The kitchen had everything we needed. The weather didn't enable us to spend much time in the garden however we had an unforgettable holiday and we will be back for our next family celebration.
