The approach through the lanes in farmland close to Chwilog sets the scene for the calm of Ysgobur Degwm. A classic stone barn in large open well maintained gardens, with tennis court and indoor heated swimming pool!, Entrance is through glazed front doors into a huge and comfortable lounge and dining room with a high vaulted ceiling all kept cosy by a large log burner. This is a relaxing area already! There are 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms which are all well finished and comfortable, and there is also a 'snug' with separate TV and plenty of games and books which is a bit of an oasis! The kitchen includes a proper coffee machine! I'm sold! Outside, the large patio has outdoor settees and a dining area, which overlooks the large level lawn and flower beds. There is a built in stone 'firepit' (that can double as a pizza oven) and a gas barbecue, as well as access to a second kitchen with beer fridge! All in all probably the most well equipped and complete place I've ever stayed in - absolutely superb. Quality finishes, real comfort and relaxing location, with easy access to most outdoor activities eg beaches/Snowdonia. Plenty of variety in the local shops, not least the superb local produce including craft beer! Already sorting our next visit for autumn!
